Los Angeles, CA - After completing 2 extensive and successful tours throughout the United States this year, and garnering massive attention for their explosive set at the Norman Music Festival 4, Monte Negro is pleased to announce The Longest Day Tour 2011, beginning July 8th in Las Vegas at the M Resort's Rock N' Roll Wine Tasting Room and Sound Bar.

The Los Angeles alternative/bilingual rock band will launch another epic 2 month North American tour in continuing support of "Cosmic Twins," their latest offering with producer ToneDef (Green Day/Santana). Monte Negro is scheduled to perform in over 50 cities, with several sold out dates that include the 2011 Rockapop Festival (July 15th in Chicago and July 16th in Milwaukee), where they will share the stage with Moenia and Inspector. The band will make highly anticipated returns to New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, and major cities in Texas, along with debut appearances in the Mexican border cities of Tijuana and Mexicali. The first group of dates are listed and updates will be posted soon.

Monte Negro are revered for their passionate and electrifying rock performances. The Sacramento Press praised the band's most recent show at the Fiesta En La Calle: "Kinski is a great front man and his voice is hypnotizing as he puts his whole body into each and every song ... [Monte Negro] rocked in Spanish and English and brought a delightful and powerful show to Sacramento's audience." (6/6/2011). The band satisfies new and old fans alike, performing a great mix of new songs from "Cosmic Twins" with older tracks from their successful 2008 album debut "Cicatrix" (Epic), and the 2009 "Fugitives of Pleasure/Pasajeros" EP (Feed The Hungry Records).
